Eighth Week





This week we have been talking about CLIL. 


  • What is CLIL? Content and language integrated learning.
  • Content and language integrated learning
  • Immersion programmes
  • Content based instruction
  • In america is called Bilingual education, in the rest of Spain Enseñanza bilingüe or AICLE and in France EMILE. 
In my opinion, CLIL has a lot of advantages:
  • CLIL can increase your students’ motivation to learn .
  • It is a good way of approaching the curriculum.
  • Students make more cognitive efforts.
Despite of the benefits, I can also see different disadvantages:
  • Lack of materials
  • Not all pupils feel motivated to learn a foreign language.
  • The need of teacher training more focused on CLIL.
