Tenth Week

During this week we have been presenting our microteaching project. It has been interesting to see other's presentations in class. I have enjoyed it a lot. We also have been doing Peer-Assessment and Self-Assesment.

Sixth Week

We dedicated this week to create our reading corners in pairs. Julia and I decided to work as a pair. Before starting working in our project, we have defined what a Reading Corner is. In my opinion, it is a tool that we can use to make our future ELT lessons more dynamic and fun for the kids. This activity also promotes autonomous learning so the teacher's role changes and you become a helper and a guide for the kids. We started to create the Reading Corner choosing one of the sample matrials that were in Sample Materials_Primary Education.pdf. We chose the one named: Where does our rubbish go? We chose that one because we thought it was an interesting topic to work with kids. We also thought it was too easy for kids in primary school so it was difficult to get the most from it. Second Week

This week we played a warming game called Find someone who. Then Lidia asked us to talk in pairs about the advantages and disadvantages of this game. A lot of people in the class didn't like the game but I did. When we started to play I was a little bit shy but then I gained confidence and I really had fun. Lidia had prepared a sheet of paper with sentences about our first essay and I felt really thankful for her dedication because it probably took a lot of her time . We also talked about the ELT methodology in groups. We had to describe some key words and I found it a little bit difficult because we couldn't fins the proper words to define all of the words. I found very interesting that while we were thinking in groups Lidia gave us a kind of "thinker stickers" as a positive reinforcement. I think that's a good tool for our future as teachers. Eleventh Week - Last Week!

During this final week we have learned a new resource for children. This game is called Loop Cards and it consists on some cards designed to practice mathematic contents in English Adavantages and disadvantages: Great content and motivating The conversation between children when they play are in Catalan or Spanish. To improve listening comprehension skills: one loop card per person and do it together. Regarding explaining the instructions of the game, the less you speak, the more the students speak to understand the game. This activity can be used as a break game. It can be used as a CLIL resource. They also can create their own games. Finally, we have been talking about the subject, our feelings and our opinions. We have written down in a post it our feedback about the subject.
